The Rolling Stones I can almost expect.  I”m sure they were some pretty bad ass dudes at one point, and most likely still are.  But when I hear a Stones song in some jingle here or there, I don’t think much of it.  If I do give it any kind of thought, it’s more along the lines of  ”figures”.  They just seem cheese to me.  Hearing a loved song, or a hint of an artist that I hold dearer and a bit closer to my heart, well… that one some next level of disgust.  What brings this bramble of words out this evening is the new Michael Jackson video game that for now, is only going to be out on Wii.  This is some creepy shit.  The same gory tossed guts feeling hit me not too long ago with the cartoony skinny cheesed out Kurt Cobain, when Guitar Hero cursed his soul.

The Beatles… I mean.  Oh, I let loose that i’m on the Beatles side when it comes to Beatles V Stones.  Well… there is that.  Regardless, this shit is not going to stop, the ball of “it’s alright to no longer be dignified about posthumous rape”.  Seeing Michael hitting all the moves of a morphed Off the Wall Thriller sequence made me want to chuck.  Yeah…. and speaking of Chuck, I saw this clip of Chris Rock from his SNL days, doing this bit about “however many years of Charlie Brown, Franklin has had no lines.. No Lines!  Give him a Jamaican accent or something”  Funny business.  So back to this game that you are good at if you can dance like Michael Jackson, Thrilling?  Get your kids and instrument for crying out loud, and if its the singing and dancing… Families can do that.  I think that was the ways of the days.  I seem to be nowhere near child, family of my own and all that goodness, but if it goes down, I’m thinking of rocking some family singing, and some dancing for sure.  I know what your thinking.  Ok, I don’t.  I have some great dancing moment memories, my Mom and brothers, the house I remember it happening was on Sheridan, on the west side of Champaign, just west of Centennial Field.  Lots of dancing at that house, 2602 I think.  Kenwood Elementary, the start of some good times.  Point?  None, you do what you like… I just happen to have some beef with these video games totally disrespecting the artistic holiness of this shit.  I mean, I know somewhere there is someone in charge if the royalties, and sometimes these people are family, and often they are in the case of much older musical jams, owned by some publishing scammer.  Jackin’ those that didn’t know the full reach of contracts and such.  But whatever, this just taste nasty to the eyes and ears.  In the words of Humpty and Shock G, Dowhatchalike.

Oh, and again with the D Rose ness.. Derrick Rose is killin’ it.  I cannot believe I get to witness this as a current, living in Chicago, person.  Was that sentence structure murder?  I do that.  Peace to Pete Bohmer.

Derrick Rose and the Bulls are a pretty fun team to watch, tons of heart, and Defense…Defense turns to offense, and with D Rose at the point, it’s just sick.  He is the fastest player out there.  Like Dee Brown back in his Illinois prime, crazy fast.

Ok, this is getting into some fucked up jock message board type stuff.. i’m tired.  Bears.

A movie about Queen… Ok, i’m cool with it.  They were actually that big in a sense.  They are the top selling artist of any band from the UK… EVER.  At least I believe what they tell me on the Biography Channel.  Peep the Freddie Mercury episode, dope.  I just met this  young brotha named Cordero that has the tooth work vibe of Freddie Mercury.  That dude was damn dope.  DD!  The last lines of that song Somebody to Love, is that the name of that song even?  But yeah, now i’m thinking of Depeche Modes song Somebody, both are along the same subject matter, duh right?

I was just told by a friend on the travel tip, that I would not be chill where they currently are….. this makes me wonder if I’m uptight or something.  Yeah, I guess I can be… That sucks. Ok, more honest smiles then.

So yeah…. I watch the games.  Sunday, Fall, Bears, all that.  I just got myself a big ass crock pot from a yard sale for $5, still in the box.  I have never had one, talked about getting one for the last two winters at least.  Mom would rock the crock pot, not super often, but man… Carrots and potatoes tasted good as hell cooked with any kind of meat, I liked the roast style meats and all, but I use to really get excited about carrots when the crock was in effect in our home.  So yeah, i’m looking to create my own versions of big deal meals.  Ugh, that shit sounded like some commercial for a fast food joint.  Maybe I got that Don Draper shit?  Kidding, though I like a drink sometimes, and I like women, women,,, Your The Best!  I use to think I was gonna make beats for the ad type world, never got the gear together though, or did I…  Bears for the Chicago love, Buccaneers for the Old School Love, Doug Williams, Rickey Bell, Hugh Green, Leroy Selmon…. and though he wasn’t a Buc, I gotta toss in an image of Chuck Muncie, I had this card, so yeah… that long.

Go Clockwork Orange!

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several-day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his “decision” unlike anything ever “witnessed” in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight: “I personally guarantee that the Cleveland Cavaliers will win an NBA Championship before the self-titled former ‘king’ wins one.”

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our “motivation” to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that’s simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our homegrown “chosen one” sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And “who” we would want them to grow up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called “curse” on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former “King” will be taking the “curse” with him down south. And until he does “right” by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland. Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day…

My friend Mark Baldwin has the funniest name ever for his fantasy hoop team, I won’t dwell on this league for long, I”m in 4th place of 6 teams… not so hot.  But his team is called The Fastest Dribblers.  I’m actually laughing right now over those words.

Blackhawks… or as I like to call them, the Hawks.  Playoffs are near, and they proved an important point with last nights win over the Coyotes, good.  There was a bit of a slide since the Olympic break, and well… fuck that noise.  On top of the lame defensive play, Seabrook got knocked out on his feet, a game after Fraser got his ribs broken by Alex Ovechkin.  Tough times indeed.  Check out both hits.

The Bulls are just about out of the playoff race, they need for the Toronto Raptors to totally choke up, which they should.  Go Derek Roses, I mean… Bulls.

NCAA Tournament… not so into it, but I really enjoyed Kansas going down the way they did.  I might start watching if these scrub teams like Norther Iowa, Cornell, Saint Mary’s, and whomever else there is left to take out the top ranked teams.   I”m going with Kansas State to win it all, I guess.

Illinois Men’s team… well, NIT.. and well…. I hope they win it for sure.  It would be a nice ending to a lame ass year.  The words “wait until next year” are actually really ringing true with this team.  Top 5 recruiting for next season, and the really nice fella’s they have should add up to a serious final four type team.  I”m thinking Brandon Paul will really fall into the famed Kendall Gill realm, and Demitri McCamy will for sure be a possibly better Deron Williams.  Just talk though.

Dwight Gooden, your breakin’ my heart.  Again…
