Dog Days, Stoner Rock Work Out Music.
This word grouping, Dog Days… it’s about what I”m currently listening to for the first time. J got me this super great Goat Snake record. Double LP, Clear Thick Vinyl… Get it. Good stuff. Aside from me getting to hear some of my favorite modern riffs of all time, Slippin’ The Stealth rips. But there is this session or groups of songs on the second LP that is called Dog Days. Nice. I’m not really sitting down, taking a break from watching a very good Bears V Vikings game, to sell a Goat Snake record with blabby hype. Not my intention at all, but what the Dog Days did for me over the last 40 minutes or so, was to allow my body to fall into some serious stretching. I just rocked some 7 stances of Choi Li Fut, couple yoga poses that Dr. Zoldan suggested I do daily, and hit my dumb bells for a bit. Very nice mid afternoon body and mind break from mindless football watching. And the pace of Goat Snake really works out with my attempted Bruce Lee philosophy of trying different schools of _______ (insert whatever) to get results you want. There is no rigid set to follow with life, water style flow. Whoa…. I should really get onto some relevant subject. Or not. Bass playing is also a part of this head and body chill out moment. Go Bears.
