Sir Paul

I had only heard this song once before, performed on some tv show back in the early 80′s.  ONCE, I tell you, but the chorus and melody have been in my head almost daily.  Sure, i’m stretching that a little, but this song was seared into my head.   I knew the chorus from the one time listening.   I just now decided to find it, to actively look for the song, and here it is.  I had no idea it was even called waterfalls.  I thought it was called, “I need love”.  Very pretty song.  I always remembered this being performed on the show Fridays, true?

break fast dinner

I like break fast over the word breakfast.  I was in the break fast kind of mood for dinner tonight, and I fell for a dish called pan fried potatoes.  Garlic, Spanish Onions, about 20 halved Cherry Tomatoes from steady producing plants on the back porch, Swish Chard.  Spiced just right, Rooster Sauce, a tiny island of mayo, and ketchup, and boom.  Happy belly.  I have no idea why i’m writing about what I just ate, seems like some kind of nice intro into the moment, my moment of over detail….. No wait, that is just the talking part, i’m not doing that now, and i’m alone, well my dog is looking at me kind of funny.   About to catch some Friday night air, I’m thinking the moons brightness should help the night. Oh wait, the bright moon might mean hectic minds.  Oh wells.

A movie about Queen… Ok, i’m cool with it.  They were actually that big in a sense.  They are the top selling artist of any band from the UK… EVER.  At least I believe what they tell me on the Biography Channel.  Peep the Freddie Mercury episode, dope.  I just met this  young brotha named Cordero that has the tooth work vibe of Freddie Mercury.  That dude was damn dope.  DD!  The last lines of that song Somebody to Love, is that the name of that song even?  But yeah, now i’m thinking of Depeche Modes song Somebody, both are along the same subject matter, duh right?

I was just told by a friend on the travel tip, that I would not be chill where they currently are….. this makes me wonder if I’m uptight or something.  Yeah, I guess I can be… That sucks. Ok, more honest smiles then.

So yeah…. I watch the games.  Sunday, Fall, Bears, all that.  I just got myself a big ass crock pot from a yard sale for $5, still in the box.  I have never had one, talked about getting one for the last two winters at least.  Mom would rock the crock pot, not super often, but man… Carrots and potatoes tasted good as hell cooked with any kind of meat, I liked the roast style meats and all, but I use to really get excited about carrots when the crock was in effect in our home.  So yeah, i’m looking to create my own versions of big deal meals.  Ugh, that shit sounded like some commercial for a fast food joint.  Maybe I got that Don Draper shit?  Kidding, though I like a drink sometimes, and I like women, women,,, Your The Best!  I use to think I was gonna make beats for the ad type world, never got the gear together though, or did I…  Bears for the Chicago love, Buccaneers for the Old School Love, Doug Williams, Rickey Bell, Hugh Green, Leroy Selmon…. and though he wasn’t a Buc, I gotta toss in an image of Chuck Muncie, I had this card, so yeah… that long.

Leafy Green

In 1980 I was in the fifth grade, Mr Weaver was my teacher.  Lets just say he really taught us that gas and oil are not going to be the fuels of the future.  I remember an Electric car being brought to Kenwood Elementary for us all to look at.  It wasn’t pretty or even that cool looking, a basic muted triangle kind of look.  OK, there isn’t anything muted about that call, it was a feakin’ Asteroids space ship.

That said, the wonder was on, I was sure that in the near future there would be lots and lots of electric cars, and some of them would even look as cool as my ex-step fathers forest green Riviera.  Mr. Weaver had us all on some Solar, Wind , Water shit back then.  Man… it’s taken a while right?

But check it…. by the time I got to high school, there was not even a flicker of electric car production.  Reagan Reagan, Bush, Clinton Clinton, Bush Bush…. Nada!  Everything not just got bigger, it just got plain dumb, Hummer anybody?  Here are 2010 and there are a few Hybrids out there, Toyota Prius leads the way, Ford seems to have some small gains with their Hybrids, but a fully Electrically run car?  Well, we got Nissan stepping into the game, and their new Leaf.

I like the leaf, and well… I sure as hell like the idea of an electric car making its way into the market.  I don’t dig the price, 30,000, with some government incentives to make it a little cheaper.  With todays fast trip to the tipping point of environmental disaster, we need to have these transport units cheap as hell.  Make a stylish version that can be high end, for those suckers,  but please also make a $7,000 model for the people.  Yeah, I know.. not so profitable maybe.  This is why it should possibly be a government run program, a mega trade in type deal.  Tax credits, trade in rebates for Electric cars only,  which would get old ass cars off the road (except for the well maintained classics of course, the 67  super sport chevelle/malibu’s and such) It would be a massive movement of some good for the planet.  Crooks in the oil and auto industry conspire to keep mpg the way it is, they could build better planet cars easily, but they would rather lay in their own waste…. ugh, that got ugly.  All I really wanted to do was share this vid, it is one of many that just show the Nissan Leaf, I don’t work for them or any crazy shit like that, I just love the fact that there is an electric car in motion.  I think just like there are zip car stations all over these days, that there could easily be Charge Stations, or even little parking hang out spots that offer charging.  This seems to be the largest obstacle to all of this here in the US, the lack of charging, the car gets 100 miles on a full charge, and that would work for me and my perceived driving habits, but the general public would need a bit more confidence in the whole “what if” scenarios.  And well… I would like to think of a potential road trip being accomplished with ease on the charging tip, they get that covered… boom goes progress.   WPA this shit!  lets go….

So yeah, I want one.  Any philanthropist out there?  Feel free to hook a guy up.  I”m also ready to start the Urban Green Job Training Initiative, this will not only get some jobs in the heart of a jobless zone, but it can be linked with retrofitting America with the new green techs needs that we’re going to need to move into the future.  I just have the slogans, and simi plans for this…. but hey, make it my full time job… boom goes the, ok, enough with this boom shit, I”m starting to sound like Chris Burman or something.

Water Warning

Nice day on the lakc, Shanigans was the boat, crew of eight.  Damn decent time.  This was shot off the back of the boat, this beat and cuts deal is about a year old.  Never really done much with it, Group Home loop for sures, Billie Holiday in spots…

Double Down, no…

What do I think of this kfc double down sandwich. Let me tell you, I’m an eater. I know, everyone eats… But I have a thing with special moment meals, I’m an eater. But really? This Sammy seems a bit foul.

Just have a look at this creation from the minds of KFC creatives. The obvious nasty start is the fact that the “bread” of the sandwich is chicken, they will tell you it’s chicken breast, but this is kfc. This meat product left the realm actually qualifying as chicken in the 80′s. The corporate chicken complexes give all of our nugget, wings, strips, patties, and plump plum pieces. Mega hormone huge. So yeah, that’s the bread. Two pieces of bacon, two pieces of some kind of pale cheese, and surely some kind of sauce, or at least mayo. Fuckin gross! I’m no vegan veggie only person, peace to you if you are, but I’m a occasional meat eater, and often a large plate kind of guy. The presentation of this double down says it all, American business food chain poisoning the dumb dumbs. That said, I have to house a whopper a couple times a year, I gots the American bloodlust in me. Yikes.

Siberia… Boom

1908 Tunguska Siberia 1000 sq miles destroyed by mystery explosion
Tungus tribe, tree carvings, warnings, believed the god of fire caused the massive destruction. Seems like a meteor from space can seem like an angry god of fire type action. Yeah… This post is motivated by mid afternoon history channel shows for sure. The the history channel has been slippin over the last few years, more proof that tv is fucked up, I guess. Regardless, check out Tunguska. The stories from the survivors is pretty amazing.

Casual…. East Bay at a very high lyrical moment. The little bell type tone rocks in my head almost daily.  Thishoweedoit!

There are 9 species of Hammer Head Sharks, 3 have been known to attack man.

I once saw a Whale Shark in Mudd Bay Olympia, Possible?  I”m pretty sure that is what I saw, a spotted fish about the size of a bus right?

Richard Pryor on the Midnight Special….. “white folks can play the shit out of some electricity”  He says this right after ELO just finished up.  Damn good show, check out the clips.

Do yourself a favor, check out… 10% Diss by MC Lyte.  Classic Goods, and while your at it, peep some Fleetwood Mac.  I can fully understand the whole Allison Krause thing now, she is like the cleaner, no cocaine being blown up her ass type.

I”m pretty sure this has come up in the blogsite before…. but I have been having these drowning dreams lately.  Not cool at all!  But in Los Corales, Venezuela 30,000 people died in flooding in just one day, well… night actually.  Mudslide style.

I was feeling old because I just turned 40, but then I realized that the earth is 4.5 million years old.  I”m doing ok.

My bitterness towards all things design seems to be fading.  Now I can head over to Chicago’s Design Corridor, don’t know about it?  Oh…. well me neither really.  Thought the hater was gone? really?

Chaka Khan…. nuff said.

Whatever, it’s fall! and Fall Rocks!

I”ll take it hot today

I slept so well… almost too well.  I know why, the storm last night and the chill in the air this morning were the cause.  I love both of those things  I walked over to Star with my dog, something I do a bit much, seeing how coffee isn’t free.  Once I got there, I broke the order that I would like a large hot coffee.  The guy paused for a sec, and went to get my coffee.  He paused most likely because for the past 3 months I have been ordering a large Iced Coffee with a double shot poured into it, a red eye as most cafes refer to it.  I needed the slight heat from the cup, ok, the super hot as hell heat from the cup, to get my AM going nice.  It worked, i’m jacked, and about to head off to work.  This post is really just a big waste of time, but I think the point is for me to  get to this site and post more often.  I find that i’m waiting for some magical moment of motivation to get me going with the writing of the words.  That said, I think the mundane eventually turns into the useful, or at least it turns into something that is good for me, release is good, though not much got released this am.

rock the day.
