Agitant Stork, and a test of randomness

Check out this bird, Agitant Stork.  Crazy cools.   I’m not really going to do your research, and find some photo for you.  I”m just not really into that at the moment.  Jerry Rice in Richard Dent out?  That is wack.  Someone that is not wack is Freeway. He and Jake One have a new record out, its nice.  What’s up with Toyota having a car commercial where the slogan is repeated over and over, Moving Forward.   Not so sure about that, with the forward moving issues they are actually having.  A couple weeks ago I caught a funny ass SNL.  One line stuck with me from that episode, “Ski your ass back to Belgium”  French Hip Hop Star  Jean K Jean, played by Kenan Thompson said it.  It’s a bit late for this, but I miss the dressing that was being sold at the local mega lame store Dominicks, it was almost Mama Susie level.  Ok, not at all actually.  I just miss her, and that dressing came a little close.  Here is another random group of words I heard together, these were found in the local ABC news, the phrase Back Scatter to Ohare, was uttered in regards to slow traffic.  Back Scatter, don’t cats do that?  There is always the History Channel for good word grouping, Mega Lake.   Another dope band name.  The Sahara Desert is currently where a mega lake once was.    jean-k-jean

Pablo

Drawn by Pablo.  Amazing, I have used this for a couple Beats by Otter flyers, but I have to give some love to the Original piece.  This is a scan of a scan.  The original is tucked away in storage.  Pablo has been a prolific poster artist for years, and well… I”m thinking that the LA bike building scene is now enjoying his love of that, bicycles that is.  I got this image in the mail on day when I was working at Dandelion, He had just been in Champaign for a little family visit, we hung for a little bit, but I never expected an “otter” piece to arrive.  He also sent this pretty dope Helmet dude… might have something to do with the randomness of people calling me Jimmy Helmet head instead of Helmick, either way, I’ll take it.

facebook, and death…

Today I checked my facebook, and the first thing I see is that Darrell Woodall has passed away.  This is my first form of death notification with facebook.  Very weird, very sad, very out there for all to comment on.  And by all, I mean Darrell’s friends, posting their feelings.  My simple R.I.P felt small in comparison, but the point of it all is that life is short.  Please live well today, enjoy all the many many tiny moments that make up this strange trip.

Watson Beasley

a Stones Trow Podcast turned me on to this song.  I think it’s grand. It really gets going at some point….  Enjoy.

the deconstruction of my favorite 8th grade folder.

It’s yellow, mostly black pen, a little red felt tip.  I’m about to start scanning flyers from the past from Beats By Otter, but I found this and I”m amazed by the bands I was seemingly into when I was a little pop lover.  Looks like I was into the NY Mets as well.

The party was fine, the food, the infused booze.  The people were great, the space was nice.  When it was time to visit the front porch for some air, it was also time to borrow some shoes, mine were far away.  These were the shoes I rocked.  The slipper look of the backs being pushed down was the deciding factor.

the past in pictures…

Lord Vader

Borrowed the scanner from the job, and man is my head spinning.  I was that kid taking photos back in the 4th grade, middle school, high school, college,  now, and all time between.  Going through the three photo albums and three boxes of regular photos, and two of Polaroids.  Super sneaking up onto peoples Facebook pages with some blastos from the pastos.  Fun.  Childhood backyards,  old apartments, school photos, my favorite car ever, friends from the past I haven’t seen in 15 years, friends from the past I’m still tight with.  It has all been crazy, crazy nice.  Olympia was super represented, Amsterdam, Paris, and Antwerp, making me want to get out of the country,   Been almost 10 years.  Brett Peratt, man that was my big brother back in the early 80’s.   Malin, the senior year in high school Swedish exchange student that I was so in love with, I mean… age 18 love.  Natalia, the woman I had the hardest time getting over, the looks of happiness and togetherness.  Really makes me want to live life and not worry about saying the wrong things.  I think when one love you, you have to listen to that, you have to ask yourself, what the fuck are you waiting on?  That was me.  Always looking for something better, not wanting to get locked down.  Fools Gold.  So yeah, I”m going to maybe watch some Olympics and try to get my head back to to 2010.  The above photo will show you my most favorite halloween costume  of all time, at least that is the way I remember it, but now looking at this… wows.
