this song has been in my head all week.

I spun the 12″ of this last Friday, and it was nice to hear it loud, and with a couple people dancing along.  Yep, I read Star Hits magazine back in 1984, and was a full on pop music kid, complete with red light bulb in my bedroom.  Duran Duran, I wanted to be the black guy in the band.  There was no black guy in Duran Duran, but that was kinda the point.  And though I loved the pop vibe back then, none of my friends knew how much I liked Duran Duran, they might have pegged me as someone who thought they might become a major league baseball player, and well… I actually did think that, pretty much until I was about 20. Funny.  So anyway, “two minutes later” ya’ll.

Stacey King, “if your afriad….. go buy a dog.

Stacy King and Neil Funk are super dope Chicago Bulls announcers.  They say funny shit sometimes.  Tonight after Tyrus Thomas blocked a Chris Camen shot into the stands, Stacey delivered a line I’d enjoyed before.  He always waits for the sweet slow motion reply, the one they play as they go into commercial usually.  And with perfect timing, Stacey says, “If your afraid….  go buy a dog”.  The go buy a dog part is shot out at the block is actually happening,  to great effect.  Ok, i’m gonna head back to my new favorite seating.  This crazy chair, I usually get my bulls games on while chillin on the couch.  But tonight, I’m rockin this chair, and its a bit closer to the fancy nice new tele, so the game is looking extra crispy.  The chair….

are you in CU this night? See…

Rivers

Not about rivers, more or less a little trick play to get into a person named Rivers, Philip Rivers.  Go Chargers!  Not really for any kind of love of west coast football, though a Jets win would be really good for the league, but I got Rivers and Gates as my go to homies in fantasy football, now converted into Yes, Those Bleads.  Took a huge plunge with Kurt Warner, so now… to have any shot in the little end of it all Playoff League, again headed up by my long time friend Ward.  He had a good day so far, Brett Farve was killin’ it.  I digress, but not by far.  Go Philip Rivers, Go Chargers Defense (whom are my starting D), but maybe in the end, if a rookie Latino quarterback named Mark Sanchez pulls off some Broadway Mark type game, that would be cool as well.

I like to take a shot at the TV sometimes…

Fuzzy head today, funny breakfast from Odges (they don’t serve breakfast foods… think hot dog), and now I’m waiting for Raj Darjar to show up.  Indian Food treat!  But what has been going on between these two meals… not much, just taking some pics at the TV, Ok, just two.  Flash on, but covered with the thumb.

Haiti, and your block.

Lets start to do some of this good ourselves.  I”m not really trying to tell you what to do, I write that down to tell myself.  I have had lofty goals of how I would fight the good fight, I don’t find myself as active as I would like.  Just texted 90999, and put the word Haiti in for the subject, and boom…. $10 of mine goes to bucket.  I”m broke, but  I got ten at times.  So yeah, if your reading, and you have felt a small tug, and the empathy in you needs some short outlet, or great outlet.  Give some loot, those peeps have been on a tough road as is, then some big planet shaking event goes down.

Red Cross Raises $1,000,000+ for Haiti Through Text Message Campaign~ Pretty cool eh?

That was yesterday, as tough as life seems for some of us, there are always greater needs for others.   Go team us.

I’m not really a “in my prayers” kind of fella, but my thoughts go deeply that way.
